As a scientist and geologist, Dr Norman Herkinor has done his best to stay out of the petty poltics of the Fiefdom to which he has dedicated his life. As far as said politics are concerned, Norman says and does whatever Cornelius, the head of the Herkinor Family, tells him to. Thus far the arrangement has worked out favorably.
Prefering science over politics, and rocks over people, Norman Herkinor has instead invested all of his notable personal-fortune into finding and providing a reliable source of minerals for the Fiefdom's citizen's, and their everyday needs. As part of the profit initiative into the outer rim of the Fiefdom, he spends most of his time off world looking at rocks. More recently he has started venturing into other galaxies for the purpose of surveying gas deposits, with his cousin Cillian Herkinor at his side as an armed escort.
