Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous as a ventriloquism show in the dark? How would you know if the dummy was talking or the performer!

Ventriloquism is just stupid, does anybody really believe the dummy is talking? It's like a pantomine, but much much worse.

What if there isn't actually a dummy, and it's only someone sat in the dark, talking in a funny voice? Nobody would know!

Even if you get good at it (ventriloquism) it's still a terrible thing to see.

What do you call a horde of ventriloquists? Is it ventriloquii?

It's a glorified puppet show, everyone knows it's the person talking, but everyone just overlooks that. How can you suspend your disbelief? In no scenario, would a puppet speak for itself! It's just a shoddy attempt to hide it.
