System Private Enforcement Contractors (SPECs) provide private intelligence, armed combat or security services for financial gain.

The services and expertise offered by SPEC's Contractors are typically similar to those of Caldari State security, military or police forces, most often on a smaller scale. While SPECs often provide services to coordinate or supplement official armed forces in service of Caldari State interests, they can also be employed by private companies to provide bodyguards for key staff or protection of company assets, especially in hostile territories.

SPEC provide services that serve as alternative forms of power application into rival faction sectors through irregular means, without violating interstellar law, causing troubles in the Caldari domestic or public policy, or too many System Alliance repercussions.

SPEC is a private, small and agile operation that benefits from a low profile. As such total operational assets are kept to a minimum at any given time. This is to provide both operational security, protect against leaks and ensure cost effective contract outcomes.
