HISTORY – The Legacy of Corbulo
The Corbulo Academy of Naval Science draws its name from one of ancient Earth’s most revered military minds—Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo, a Roman general famed for discipline, loyalty, and strategic brilliance.
His final words, spoken before falling upon his sword at the command of Emperor Nero, were simply:
“Axios.”
— "I am worthy."
Within the Academy, this solemn declaration has become a living creed. Cadets and officers alike salute the General's honor by echoing that same cry—Axios!—in ceremony, in combat, and in communication. Thus, many of our operational channels begin with “Axios-” as a constant tribute to the unwavering duty and worthiness Corbulo embodied. It is more than tradition; it is a call to rise and meet the expectations of the Empire—and of ourselves.
