The History of New Britannia is veiled, like most of the history of New Eden, in a great fog of mystery that the passing of aeons has only deeper disturbed. None survive who can recall the original inception or even comprehend the phenomenon of the emergence of the New British Empire from amongst New Eden’s vast and dangerous fringe space. There are indeed few left who recollect the true origins of the New British Empire at all, some talk of a vast fleet of ancient colony ships cast out from Terra's green and pleasant land many eons ago during the times of the eve gate, others of ancient cultural broadcasts intercepted by a small fanatical cult adrift in the outer reaches of known space. All that is for certain is that New Britannia and its corporate empire are alive and well. Industrious and devoted, its citizens have developed a unique cultural history and can be found flourishing across New Eden.
