Origins unknown. Adopted as an infant by religiously fanatical parents his upbringing was a horror of mental and physical abuse. On reaching his teenage years he finally escaped to take up arms in the planetary malitia. His reluctance to mix socially was accepted due to his single minded drive to fullfill his duties, always selected for small team operations Taranis found his home in the malitia untill it was disbanded.

Now he lives a solitary life, travelling the space lanes, making a living where he can.
