She found herself wandering once she was of age and despite undergoing the capsuleer "transformation" decided that interstellar piloting was for "poors", taking on various jobs, mostly involving talking people into parting with their ISK for various reasons in large sums, mostly legal.

It was an ill-fated short-term gig in a Syndicate pleasure hob that lead her to meet the Korbas, at the end of RK's drones ("She's not the Damsel? Far too opinionated for that!"). Realising her mental hardiness, business acumen and thus potential (and the figure), Esmar hired her to manage the company safely in-station whilst he took care of the risker, less pleasant business.
