After the Enterprise, Ryker was promoted to Captain and given charge of his own ship for a deep space mission. All was well until a surprise Borg attack on the edge of Federation space forced him to flee through an unstable wormhole that collapsed right behind him. This might have saved him from the Borg, but now Captain William Ryker is stranded in New Eden with no ship, no crew, and no way to get home.

Now, Ryker travels the stars as an immortal clone looking for a way home. He has become familiar with local politics and the factions that run this space, but never finding anything close to the quality of Star Fleet. Ryker decided to become a rogue pilot, fighting and exploring for survival, to keep his place in this galaxy, and to find a way home.
