Following a recruitment note Ivan quickly went to the hanger and commandeered an Imperial Navy Slicer awaiting repairs convincing the foreman Ivan was personally requested to test flight the craft before further modifications and repairs were made to it. The ruse allowed Ivan to get past the last lockable gate jump before intentions were learned.
