Born the fifth son of one of the less favored concubines of a Tertiary Prefector Militum in the Ekrin constellation, Yeferz Gnaeus Rurikovich Avyuhum seemed destined for an undistinguished career in the Amarrian state apparatus. This until an affair of honor involving an exotic dancer led to Rurikovich's banishment for murder and the casting-off of his unwanted mother by his now politically embarrassed father. A decade of wanderings in the Gallente Federation followed, during which Rurikovich fought as part of a pirate hunting crew and administered the planetary operations of an enterprising Gallente frontier official (later executed for gross corruption). It was through these connections that Rurikovich was able to get himself chosen for the capsuleer program.

Returning to Amarr a demi god, Rurikovich decicively settled affairs with his father. Enlisting with the 24th Imperial Crusade, he now seeks to provide for his elderly mother's comfort while restoring himself to the position within Amarr society which he knows to be his by right of blood.
