Born twins, Kris and his sister Tris were raised in a small moon farming colony off Zemalu IX. When their home planet was attacked by slavers, Kris was left hidden in storage bin in an attic by his Aunt, where he lay listening as his neighbors and family were slain or taken into slavery, He was later 'found' and adopted into the Kador family of the Amarr empire.

Kris joined the Academy to study Advanced Spaceship and Command Ship. At his graduation ceremony, Kris overheard his adopted father telling a visiting diplomat that it was by his orders that Kris' family had been captured and enslaved, taken away to work in an asteroid mine to further his own corporation's wealth. A cold fury rose in Kris as he stood listening to their laughter as they discussed the brutality his family had suffered, along with millions of innocent lives.

A plan formed that night. Kris would use his family's influence and wealth to learn if his family still lived, and free them and any other slaves he encountered in his search. He can occasionally 'feel' his twin, though uncertain how, he longs for the day they are reunited.
