Despite its name, the strawberry isn't a true berry, but an aggregate accessory fruit, meaning that the fleshy part is derived not from the plant's ovaries but from the receptacle that holds the ovaries. Neither the raspberry or the blackberry are berries either. But the banana is a berry, scientifically speaking, as are eggplants, grapes and oranges. What do we learn from this? Put som f*cking thought into the subject before you name something. Thank you for coming to my TED-Talk <3
