The Hassins had been one of several political family names dating as far back as the Feudal Era of the Ni-Kunnis. Even with the respect that comes with a venerable and honorable house, the Hassins unfortunately did not escape the turmoil that comes with the Amarr subjugation. Their name was reduced to irrelevancy and ultimately to obscurity for three whole generations. Losing their wealth and influence in their local political community, they were relegated to minor positions with little to no power.
Semias Gud H’ssan, Nhur's grandfather, brought back a portion of his family’s former glory when he accumulated wealth and subsequently respect due to his brilliant business transactions. This brought the family back into the Empire’s political landscape albeit at the local level. He changed the family name back to it’s original title of Hassin. Semias having it deemed that they at last need not cover their ancestral root and no rival shall endanger them again.
