There are many of us with the name Harkness in this new frontier. Rumor has it we all come from one ancestor who lived (and may still live) on the other side of the long lost gate.
My grandfather told me a story of our ancestor who was changed by some mysterious energy and could not die! Not by being reborn into a new clone, (I hear they never discovered that technology on the other side). His body would repair itself, and he would just wake up.
There are many of us who believe "Life here began out there."
Cat was born in YC 88, on Intaki Prime, but her parents left (wanting to get away from the crime that riddles the system), when she was very young. Cat graduated from the Center for Advanced Studies with top honors in YC 114. After having been delayed due to an untimely accident, which forced her to use a clone that was not entirely ready. It is rumored her family has ties to the Intaki Syndicate.
