Most players assume combat begins when the first shot is fired. By then, they’ve already lost. 80% of pilots panic when their options are taken away. They flail, they freeze, they fold. It’s why mechanics that limit movement, disable modules, or dictate engagements are always called “unfair.” The ones who cry about it the loudest are the ones who thought they had control to begin with.
