After my father died in a deep core mining accident I collected his life insurance and with the isk I managed to con an ageing pilot out of his decrepid Ibis frigate. Armed with nothing more than a flying sardine tin, I was determined to either make it in deep space or die trying. Before leaving, the old pilot only gave me one piece of advise...."It doesnt really matter if you lock on first sunny...just make damn sure your the last one firing!!" With those last words he dissapeared off into a Happy Jacks bar across from the hangar where he would most likely piss out his lifes savings. It was a stark reminder that most pilots dont become more than garbage haulers....
Success is taken from the hands of the weak because war does not determine who is right - only who is left.
