The player base of EvE has been a bit more creative and perhaps a bit more subtle in the creation of their oppressive way of describing things than your average online misogynistic pissbaby. One example of such is the way some capital ships are spoken of. A dreadnought class ship Naglfar is often referred as “vertical supremacy”.
I’ll say it again “vertical supremacy”, the person who coined this term was very devious. Compounding all the undesirable features toxic masculinity has to offer. The impact of these two words had on me when i first heard them was devastating. I was shaking in rage and had to retreat to my safe space for a while.
The Naglfar is a male power fantasy manifest, it is as tall as it is powerful and coupled with the term “vertical supremacy”, you can clearly tell that this ship and its name are nothing more than a tool for oppression and a force to keep women and pocs out of EvE Online.
