Once, decades ago, I mined in High Sec in Armageddon
It was one of the best ships for the job
Because it could fit 7 Mining Lasers and some Mining Drones
I had fitted it with plain T1 modules
Because meta modules were too expensive and T2 didn't exist yet
I mined to be able to afford Apocalypse
Because it could fit an amazing 8 Mining Lasers
I achieved that goal and merrily mined with it some time
Then the corp I was in moved to Null Sec
Surprisingly, my Apoc wasn't blown up when moving there
At that point, this bio said "Fountain Alliance"
Because alliances didn't exist as an in-game mechanic yet
In Fountain I mined in my Apoc, but also tried ratting
You can feast your eyes on the fit: not even nearly optimal
(Saved much later because saving fits didn't exist as a feature yet)
I think there was some corp or alliance drama
Or maybe it was just people leaving
In any case, I then moved to Curse and later back to Fountain
Can't remember whether I moved my Apoc to Curse and back
In early -05 I won EVE
But was lured back almost seven years later
I found myself in MN5N-X with my Apoc and some random stuff
(That's when I saved that glorious ratting fit above)
I stuffed low slots full of Warp Core Stab
And cargo hold full of items
And set my course to High Sec
Happy that I still had those "warp to 0" bookmarks
Clearly Fountain was pretty much uninhabited at that point
Because it was claimed just by some "Test Alliance, Please Ignore"
Turns out some of my assumptions were wrong
You could now warp to 0 even without BMs
How great!
There were deployables that prevented warp despite having WCSs
Not so great...
TAPI was actually a real alliance
Although this I realised only some time later
Since luckily, they were not patrolling the route
That specific day and hour
When I slowboated through their bubbles
Naturally without a prop mod
That particular Apocalypse still lives
Safely tucked in NPC station in HS for a decade
(Which I've spent partially away from Eve)
I'm glad Triglavians didn't take that system to Pochven
It was one of the best ships for the job
