Eelis Kiy built a pile of wealth and a circle of friends and then she lost them all to fire and ignorance.
She mourned her loss deeply but then realised what she had gained - a new understanding of the world around her. So she threw herself into the fire. She listened and learned and took great risks. She grew and thrived until war became her only home: Eelis Kiy became a flame in the fire that others feared.
But fire needs constant fuel - war is an expensive addiction; it costs isk, friendship and time and it does not sit idlely by for those who cannot keep pace.
And so the day came when Eelis Kiy's flame burned out and her smouldering remains returned to a more peaceful existance.
She may have moved on, but she will never forget. So many years of laughter, of battle, of blood, of dark night skies lit up brighter than the dawn by the fires of war!
A little older, a lot wiser, she drifts along - waiting for the spark to burn again.
