Eight Simple Rules:
1. Do not undock in something you can't afford to lose. If you lose something that you couldn't afford to lose, then you will be laughed at.
2. At NO TIME should you ever Autopilot to your destination. Don't even think about it.
3. NEVER fly tired. A sleepy pilot is a dead pilot. Even in High Sec.
4. NEVER fly drunk. A drunk pilot is a dead pilot. Even in High Sec.
5. Do not trust anyone that you can't beat the crap out of IRL.
6. Put a tank on your ship when you're hauling goods, especially industrials.
7. If you shoot someone, they (and their friends) can shoot back without penalty. At least until the aggression timer runs out.
8. There is nowhere that is truly safe, except docked up, and even then they can still hurt your feelings.
