The first trial demands rejection of comfort and denial of the marketplace. Amiel must refuse trade with other pilots entirely — every ship he flies, every module he uses must be earned, farmed, and built through effort, labor, and faith alone, not purchased with ISK or convenience.

At the end of this path stands the symbol of perfected Amarrian might: the Paladin.
