Most don.t know this and frankly don't care.

The rise of a new breed of capsuleer who were never human tp begin with is of great concern to the baseliners of new eden. Reports indicate such capsuleers are psychologically identical to their "normal" counterparts, but the thought of gods among men who were never men themselves is nonetheless deeply unnerving.

Those with even less scruples perform these "hot swap" on candidates that did not meet the "legal" criteria for capsuleer training at a more reputable facility. The results are more promising than intended, which may or may not be a good thing depending on one's point of view or level of transhumanity.
