Born on Hek V, Vox was cast out on the streets at 3 years old after his mother's employer told her she couldn't keep him in the brothels anymore. He was found by a roving Guristas pirate, who took him in. Vox's early days were spent "helping" his new "father" as he worked around the frigate where they lived. He was 7 when the ship he was on was destroyed by a Caldari Navy fleet.
Vox was able to find an escape pod, but his father figure (could even have been his father, who knows) did not. He landed on a baren planet in Unpas, and sat and waited for 3 days for his father to find him. Eventually he was found by a roving band of traders, who took him in and nursed him back to health. From them he learned the art of trade, and by 13 he was becoming proficient at it until the noctus they were taveling on was ambushed by an Angel Cartel fleet which had blockaded a jump gate.
Again alone, Vox tried to find work on the surface of the planet of Villore IV. After a few weeks of looking for work, and starving, he was found by a retired navy officer while trying to steal some rotting food from his bin. After serving the mandatory sentence, Vox was sent to a navy school, where he learned to fight but hated leadership. After graduating high school, he was sent to the Naval Academy.
After graduating first in his class, Vox was discharged for pouring hot coffee on a senior officer who stated that it was too cold for his liking. The senior officer recovered after three days in the hospital, and Vox found himself facing a dishonourable discharge. Fortunately, he had a friend who was a really good lawyer who helped him get out of prison time in exchange for becoming a capsuleer. While his friend was willing to work for free, the capsuleer program was not, and Vox found himself saddled with crippling debt.
Now, burdened with 3.75 Billion ISK in debt, but at least not branded a criminal, Vox seeks mercenary work. Wherever there is a mixture of violence and mayhem, Vox will be there, at least until he loses yet another ship.
SCC Insurance Co is presently looking into Vox's account to see if they can nail him with insurance fraud, but that inquiry has yet to turn up any leads other than that Vox is a somewhat wreckless individual.
