'The only thing worse than seeing Pirates or a Gallente in my space is having to clean their splattered remains from the engine manifolds once I get my ship back to the hanger after a mission. But then again, they do make great targets and their ships create some of the most beautiful, rainbow colored explosions I have ever seen.'
I first wrote this when I was but a year out of the Acadamy. Full of pride and civic duty, I did not consider what might come to be later in life. We thought we were invincible. But as we aged and saw our fellow brothers, sisters, friends and family die, we learned the cold hard fact that we were not. They say that 'age brings wisdom' and this is true.
In all of my past lives I have come to realize that there is one small, inescapeable truth. We learn for the better or die in ignorance.
