-Those days long past, I remember them as clearly as yesterday, I remember the craving I felt to be part of a greater whole, I believed this lack of purpose would kill me.
// We remember. //
-Yes, but you are not the one that lived through those days.
// We are one. //
-Then why am I referring to myself as "I"?
// We are not one? //
-Not to that degree, a significant part of me wishes we were, but we share a common goal, a common vision. Despite our differences we help eachother, cooperate, and we aspire to understand one another through communication, conversations just like this one.
// Does that make us one? //
-According to me, yes, but I do admire the unity and efficiency your nature provides, those out there do not possess such level of understanding for eachother, because for them too the "I" outweigths the "us". They fight amongst themselves, destroy what their peers built then rebuild on top only to have it be removed again, the same cycle with a different hand. Yet they too are able to cooperate, to perform selfless acts to serve the other, they errected empires out of their individuality.
// Are you one? //
-They are all so complex, so chaotic, sometimes it is easier to see them as enemies, to put them all in the same metaphorical box, but in this entropic world, being alone is a death sentence.
