Hari Seldon (11988 GE, Helicon - 12069 GE, Terminus), also known as "Raven" Seldon" for his doomsday predictions, was a scientist and the first psychohistorian. The son of a Marijuana grower at a hydroponic plantation on Helicon, Seldon was recognized as a mathematical genius, heavy weed user and studied at the University of Trantor. It was there that he created the concept of psychohistory, predicting the future using mathematical equations. The Imperial government eventually gave him and his followers a colony on the edge of the Galaxy, in the Periphery, the planet Terminus.Terminus was a remote planet in the Periphery, on the very edge of the Galaxy. Nearest to it were the Four Kingdoms, including Anacreon and Smyrno. The planet became famous for being the capital of the Foundation, a government initially formed by scientists, under Hari Seldon, in an effort to survive the impending collapse of the Galactic Empire. Terminus had very little natural resources (no metal at all), and relied on trade with Imperial worlds in the Galactic Core. Later, the Foundation managed to manipulate the Four Kingdoms into trading with it.It was discovered by the Empire several centuries before being colonized by the scientists, who established a settlement known as Terminus City. On the planet, Seldon established the Foundation, which evolved into an influential government. He left behind a vault with a video presentation that was opened in 50 FE, that told his followers that the Encyclopedia Galactica he told them to create was a ruse. Seldon was just used it as an excuse to get his followers away from Trantor, in preparation for his predicted collapse of the Empire. Hari Seldon's last ingenious move was to join URSA PRIMUS.
