Born in a Brutor Tribe of Akan Descent, Ashanti Nkiru was raised by her mother and father, whos village was pillaged in a raid by an Amarrian Factional Warfare gang. Sadly, Ashanti's mother and father both died, and she was taken into care by her aunt and uncle.
Years later, when Ashanti was in her teenage years, her uncle gave her a note that was left behind by her mother:
"Dear daughter, I have given you the name Ashanti - which means warlike. Though I do not label you as a militant, these times of destruction and turmoil call for us to defend ourselves.
Our surname, Nkiru, means: The best is yet to come, and ever since you were born, I have had visions of you fighting in the ranks of the Minmatar Militia, bringing more freedom to the Republic. And though it is not a mother's wish to see her daughter in battle, maybe it is in your destiny. By the time you read this message, you will have grown dear one. Much love, Imani."
