"The Ascension of Fredrick Audanie"
Long ago, in the smoldering basin of the Flaming Lake, there lived a man named Fredrick Audanie. He was the second son of the mighty warlord Morne Grandi, a ruler forged in steel and wrath, and the first brother to Heirin, the traitor who shattered the Blood Oath and set fire to the House of Grandi’s honor.
Unlike his kin, Fredrick was not raised for conquest. He wandered the volcanic shores, whispering to the embers and learning the language of flame. While others sought crowns, he sought truth. But when Heirin betrayed the family and seized the Torch Throne with blood and poison, Fredrick vanished into the depths of the lake, carrying only his rage.
For seven years, the empire believed him dead.
But on the seventh solstice, the skies wept fire. The Flaming Lake erupted—not with ash, but with a pillar of searing light. From it rose a figure no longer mortal. Cloaked in living flame, his eyes twin furnaces of judgment, Fredrick returned not as a man, but as a god.
Heirin fell within hours. The traitor’s army melted before the heat of Fredrick’s fury. The citadel walls bowed and blackened as if apologizing for sheltering a coward.
And so it was written, in scorched stone and whispered legend:
“What once was a soul, has now become fire. What once was a man, has now become a god.”
Fredrick Audanie, Heir to the Flaming Lake, Ruler of the Torch Empire, and God of the Tuni, had ascended—not for power, but for vengeance, justice, and flame-born rebirth.
