Norjia came from a humble background; she is the daughter of an engineering professor and her husband, a specialist in history. Exposure to the world of engineering and industry at an early age combined with an innate willfulness has lead her to pursue the dream of running a mining and manufacturing corporation.

She started out as a miner in a Navitas frigate (uninterestingly named BM2 Miner 01). An early break came when she landed a contract to manufacture and sell a shipment of 50,000 Lead Charge M for 850,000 ISK. This helped her pay for the cargo ship that would do most of the hauling in the early days of Blacksteel Mining and Manufacturing.

Over 11 years later, BM2 has billions of ISK in assets as well as strong manufacturing and trade businesses.
