I spent three decades of RL in an engine test lab. I lost both my sanity and my hearing. I'm not sure which one I miss the most...
You have no idea what it's like to not hear clearly. At work, I've had people tell me others think I'm stupid because they constantly have to repeat things.
So if I don't seem all that talkative on voice comms. It's me, I simply cannot understand a lot of what is being said.
And take it from me, don't even think about filing a disability claim.....
But now, I'm retired. Which means that I have time, no money, but no requirement to be nice to people.
