The Vex brothers were raised as a Caldari household first and a bloodline mix second. Their father, Aren Vex, was a stern corporate security supervisor from a Deteis family with roots on Caldari Prime. In his first marriage, he had one son, Julian, with a Civire woman whose family carried a harder, more martial reputation. After her death, Aren later remarried Sivala Vex, a Deteis systems administrator from Arcurio, and together they had Caliban and Sven.
They grew up in Arcurio on Caldari Prime, in the long shadow of occupation, on a world where every Caldari child learned loyalty before comfort and caution before trust. Their home was not sentimental, but it was steady. Under one name, one household code, and one very Caldari lesson, the three boys were raised to believe that blood mattered less than duty, and that family was proven through contribution.
As they came of age, each brother found his own form of service. Julian, the eldest and only Civire among them, chose the State War Academy and became the spearpoint of the family: a combat pilot shaped by pressure, but practical enough to trade, mine, and adapt when the corporation required it. Caliban, Deteis to the core, followed the path of engineering and systems discipline through the School of Applied Knowledge, building his strength in manufacturing, logistics, and the quiet order that keeps ships flying and hangars full. Sven, the youngest, carried that same Deteis discipline into the Science and Trade Institute, where curiosity became purpose; he turned toward research, data, exploration, and the pursuit of knowledge that could be brought home and put to use.
The reconquest of Caldari Prime and the destruction that followed did not make the brothers more ideological; it made them practical. They learned early that the State survives because somebody fights, somebody builds, and somebody thinks ahead. That became the foundation of their corporation and the bond between them as capsuleers.
Though they walk different paths, they serve the same truth: strength means little without industry, industry means little without knowledge, and knowledge means little unless someone is willing to defend it. Together, the Vex brothers are their own Caldari answer to that lesson.
