Why do I fight?

Everyone has their reasons... Fame, Glory, Riches - King and Country, or maybe even the Almighty Lord... but no matter what you call it, every drifting soul simply yearns for that same sacrosanct justification. But victory is never awarded to those who fight simply for justice; victory is not awarded for righteous intentions. No, Victory is won by those who refuse to stop fighting, under any circumstance. Victory is won by those who celebrate their mortality and toast to death upon the wine of their Last Supper.

Victory is granted to those who do not ask why we fight, but how.

I fight for myself - for in the heat of battle the Queen may have strategy, the King mave have tactics, but the Pawns have only themselves. Be I the enabler or instrument of my enemies destruction, I pray only to bathe in the subtle warmth of their blood.
