Born on the forest moon of Jita V, Malcom enrolled at an early age in the State War Academy showing much promise as a pilot.

Military life did not suit Malcom, and after he was honorably discharged he set sail into the open stars to find answers to the gnawing questions of 'why' within himself.

Venturing deep into low sec space, Malcom fought pirates and police alike, choosing instead the path of the Independent. Ambushed by Guristas, Malcom was left for dead, floating in open space. After four days. an Eve Defence Force mining party found him drifting, barely alive. After returning to health, Malcom swore his undying allegience to the EDF.

In the recent wars of Ascendent Frontier, Malcom was badly wounded in a firefight in Empire space. When he regained consciousness in a new clone, he saw The Black Expanse with new eyes.

Reconnecting with an old Academy buddy, he decided to leave the EDF and join the Shadows of the Dead.
